Each student participates in a project group. Groups may choose to build something, improve the school’s appearance, or work on helping the community by participating projects like the Angel Tree and fundraisers for groups like the American Red Cross.
Credit recovery is offered to high school students from both Nelson County High School and Thomas Nelson High School during the school day. Students use the computer-based learning program, Apex, to recover credits they have failed.
The Twilight Program
Twilight meets each Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30. Students from all Nelson County District high schools may attend to work on recovering credits using Apex Learning. Students interested in attending Twilight need to work their guidance counselor to get this setup.
